THE ART OF PEGGY WALTERS
"From my home on a cliff suspended between woods and water, I observe the daily rhythms of the natural world. To bear witness to this world of beauty and to what it means to me, I paint. With the forms of nature as a template for explorations with color, in an improvisation informed both by the colors I see in nature and those on my palette, I allow my paintings to unfold organically, as does the natural world." Peggy Walters' paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions at Main Street Gallery in Prince Frederick, MD, Dragonflies Gallery in Lexington Park, MD, Battle Creek Nature Education Society in Port Republic, MD, Annmarie Garden in Solomons, MD, Boyden Gallery at St. Mary's College of Maryland, and the New Arts Program in Kutztown, PA. |
